AngatDamThe Angat River drains the west flank of the great Sierra Madre Mountain Range. Its Watershed is adjacent to the river basin of the Umiray River in the northeast, the Kanan River basin in the southeast, and the Marikina River basin in the south.
From the damsite at Sitio Bininit to the tailrace outlet at Sitio Bitbit, the river channel defines a huge semi-elliptical curve about 12 kilometers long. A few kilometers downstream from Bitbit, the river emerges from the mountain, flowing in a westerly course across the lowland plains of Bulacan Province, finally emptying its water into Manila Bay.
